Other Total commitments in Angola

To strengthen local industrial development, Total has, since 2008, invested 22.8 million euro in the construction and operation of four Eiffel high schools. Managed by the Mission laïque française, a secular association, these high schools offer free, high-quality science education to 570 students. In line with this action, Total has partnered with the Institut national du pétrole [national petroleum institute], which trains engineers specialized in the oil industry. Regarding health, the Group participates, alongside the World Bank, in the National Program for the Revitalization of the Rural Health System. The objective is to rehabilitate the health centers in five provinces (Bengo, Malanje, Moxico, Lunda Norte, and Uige) and improve the training level of nurses and midwives for a long-term impact.
