mozambique_certificationprogram_-_copie.jpgCommitted to developing the competitiveness of local SMEs

As part of its ambition to develop the regions that host us, Total participated to the financing of a training program for Mozambican SMEs to obtain the international quality certification ISO 9001. This program is supervised by Total, INNOQ (National Institute for Standardization and Quality) and IPEME (Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises).

This program was conceived to accompany Mozambican SMEs in the acquisition of techniques and tools to enhance their competitiveness. 40 companies took part in the program and the results are already there. For Extin, for instance, the training enabled the teams to define more clearly the role of each member of the team and optimize the production. This enabled them, along other aspects, to expand their portfolio of clients, notably with the Mozambique LNG project.
